Ralph Van Raat Speelt Peter Hamel

MORE OR OR MORE MINIMAL FESTIVAL

Traditionally, the Orgelpark presents a number of concerts on the first weekend of October that focus on repetitive music: minimal music. The October three-day event ends on Sunday with a performance of Simeon ten Holt's most famous composition: Canto Ostinato.

The great piano work Vom Klang des Lebens by the German minimal composer Peter Hamel takes center stage during the concert by pianist Ralph van Raat. The twelve-part composition sounds like a road that starts and ends with John Cage, with the listener traveling past tributes to great composers along the way.
